Yellowstone Family Vacation

The first part of July, we headed up to Yellowstone with my mom and my sister and her family. We spent a night in West Yellowstone, then drove through the park, stopped in Jackson Hole for dinner and ended up spending a few more days at my uncles cabin on Lake Palisades. My sister Andrea and her family and brother James and his wife met us all at the cabin. So the entire family got to spend some quality time together. It really was a fun vacation and I'm grateful for the time we get to spend with family. I take way too many pictures so this is a long post and I promise I only posted a few!!!

The Yellowstone scenery is really amazing.

You can't do Yellowstone without seeing Old Faithful....

and a few other interesting geysers....

but the highlight of the trip was seeing a real live grizzly bear up a little too close if you ask me.

I love this picture of Kayla, Logan, and Brynn on the boat. Look how pretty the lake is. The weather was perfect and Brynn and Kayla enjoyed working on their suntan in the front of the boat.

Check out the sunset in the background. I'm not a huge fan of camping, but staying in a cabin is definitely the way to go - it really was relaxing and gorgeous.

Roasting marshmallows and making smores was a hit in the evenings.
