I cannot believe how fast a year can go by. Ryder turned "1" on July 25th and he is no longer my sweet little baby anymore. He really is a BIG boy -topping off the charts on height and is quite the chunker too. It is hard to believe that he was 5 weeks early and only weighed 5 1/2 lbs. He is walking all over the place, climbing everything he can, and is completely finished with the bottle. He hardly even likes to snuggle with me anymore and it is breaking my heart. My baby is growing up too fast!!!! We are officially entering the toddler phase and I'm not sure I'm ready.
We had a little family party for Ryder's B-day and he loved all the attention, the presents, but most of all he loved .....
the cake!!!!!
He also can't get enough of his cool dump truck that dad bought for him.
I thought I would post a few pictures so I could remember what Ryder was like at "1". He is really a goofy little kid and he does some funny tricks that crack us up. This is Ryder doing his famous "huffy" face which the girls absolutely love.
He is quite the brute and loves to climb on people and wrestle, especially with his favorite cousin Logan.
He took his first steps just before his birthday and is cruising all over the place now. He is really proud of himself for learning to walk.
He LOVES the water and loves to go swimming and even just splashing in the bathtub.
He also loves to play with balls and to throw EVERYTHING. Hopefully we can channel that into baseball or something useful.
And finally he loves his daddy! He loves to play with Brandon, but he is also content to just chill with him too. I love this picture with Ryder relaxing with his fat belly hanging out. You can almost just hear him saying "WIFE, get me the remote and some chips, NOW!!!!"

Oh . . . I miss my little buddy! I love all the pics you posted of him. My favorite is the couch potato one with big B. : ) Give him an extra hug from his aunt Jalinda!! Miss you guys already!!!
