November Highlights

Yup that's right, I said November. I'm guessing that most people are blogging about New Year's Resolutions and all that, but things have been a little busy lately and I'm finding myself with tons of pictures and lots to blog about so forgive this SUPER long post and maybe...just maybe in a few weeks I'll be blogging about the New Year as well. So here goes our families November highlights...

I just had to start with my favorite picture of the Month...nothing like a really saggy diaper plumbers crack to start the morning.

Happy Birthday Brandon!!!! So Brandon turned the big 34 (OUCH) and I helped him celebrate by heading off to a special early screening of New Moon with some friends. Rude I know but some things can't be helped and the girls made sure he had a proper B-day party anyways!!!!

We spent 10 days of November in San Antonio visiting my sister Jalinda, her hubbie Mike and their cute kiddos. Its been a really long time since we last visited them, so it was really fun to spend some time with them! San Antonio is a really great city and we did a lot while we were there. We barely survived the plane ride with Ryder (can you say MAJOR meltdown), but it was worth it! We had a blast!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! We spent the holiday in Texas and Jalinda even taught me how to cook a turkey (well I sort of paid attention). Hopefully I won't have to do that anytime soon. The food was great and I just love the major cheesy picture of Brandon and me and the turkey!

Mike, Me, Jalinda and the FOOD!!! I was really impressed with Jalinda's cooking skills. She has become quite the Thanksgiving dinner pro since the moved away. I guess that's what happens when you can't rely on mom and grandma to cook every holiday meal.

The kids table - they always have more fun. Next year I'm sitting there!

Sea World San Antonio

Sea World was great. My kids have never been before and it was all decorated for Christmas which made it even more fun.

Brynnley and Brooklyn's favorite part was feeding the dolphins.

Remember the Alamo!!!! We did a little historical tour of the Alamo that was really kind of interesting.

These girls almost look like true Texans - YEE HAW!!!!

You can't go to San Antonio without visiting the Riverwalk...
And eating at one of the fun restaurants there.

While we were in Texas we headed down to South Padre Island for a little beach getaway. We rented a condo right on the beach. The weather wasn't even too bad for November.

This was the kids first time EVER to a beach. Really its true. They loved it even though it was a little chilly the first day.

Are our lips turning blue yet? Just a tad chilly, but we HAD to build a sandcastle.

Day 2 on the beach was much warmer and the sandcastles got even more extreme thanks to Mike and Brandon of course.

Brynnley

Brooklyn

Ryder

It's official. We love the beach and vow to go to the beach more often as a family!!!!

South Padre had a lot of really fun restaurants right on the pier with great seafood.

The final highlight of our Texas trip was seeing a real live alligator. Mike and Jalinda have been to this South Padre sightseeing walk place lots of times and this was the first time they saw something more exciting than the birds and turtles. Scary eh?
Thanks Mike and Jalinda for entertaining us. You guys are the best and we love ya!!!!!
