Will Spring Ever Come?

I cannot wait for spring. I feel like we have been trapped in our house all winter for a variety of reasons. 1) Its hard to go anywhere with a baby, 2) Its hard to go anywhere with 3 kids, 3) One of those 3 kids is always sick, 4) It's too freakin' cold to do anything fun outside etc. etc. etc. So, I realized I haven't posted anything lately because we really haven't done anything lately, but here is my attempt to highlight some of the fabulous things that we have been doing over the past few months.....
We tried unsuccessfully (dang it) to catch a leprechaun. Note the stairs leading to the plastic cup. This is a carefully devised trap that Brynnley and Brooklyn came up with. They made a sign for the door that said "Leprechaun Gold Here" and carefully placed a gold coin inside of the cup. Apparently the little (about an inch tall) guy was supposed to climb the pink barbie stairs and see that gold coin and fall into the cup and be trapped. Somehow the plan failed (dumb luck of the Irish.) Maybe next year?
We went to the park and had a picnic with Grandma Jackie and Aunt Anz and Emmy. It would have been great if we weren't freezing our booties off. Seriously, is it really spring?

We have spent a lot of time in the car going back and forth to dance class and have even spent a lot of time dancing around the house in sweet dress ups complete with mom's shoes.

We spent a weekend at Dance Attack where Brynnley loved every second of it and met Eddie, her favorite teacher.

We have gone to all of the Lindon Elementary family activity nights including math night, dance night, skate night and art night. This is the Western Dance Night where the kids had a blast. Notice our attempt to dress up cowgirlish. That Shauna Carter sure knows how to throw a party!!!
We went to Classic Skating. Notice we aren't skating. We'll try that again next year hopefully with less tears. Look how much fun Brooklyn is having. I just want to know if they have ever cleaned classic skating since the days I used to frequent that place.

We even do lots of fabulous makeovers. This is what happens when Brynnley decides to turn Brooks into a "circus freak." HMMMMMM.....Fun!!!! Even more fun to clean up the makeup mess.
We even built a snowman in February. That is always a sure boredom buster. With the way things are going maybe we can make one in March too. Please tell me that April will be a little warmer!!! Happy Spring Everyone!!!!

Who knew you could do so many fun things at home? I can't wait to show my kids their cute cousins. I think they will particularly get a kick out of the Leprechaun trap and Brynn's "Hook 'em horns" rendition at the park. Well, I don't know, the circus freak is right up there too.

Enjoy the moment!
