Brynnley's First Day of Kindergarten

Brynnley officially started Kindergarten on August 25th. She is in the afternoon kindergarten class and her teacher is Miss Howell. She was so excited to finally go to Lindon Elementary and to meet some new friends. She admitted when we were walking in that she was just a little bit nervous, but only because she wasn't sure if she would make any new friends. If you know Brynn at all, she is a little on the social side so I assured her that she wouldn't have any problems. After school that day she told me that she had already asked almost all of the girls to be her friend and that now she has lots of friends in her class. She was a little concerned that one of the girls told her NO when she asked her to be her friend. Who would say NO to Brynn? She just couldn't believe it. A few days later she told me that she had asked the same girl 2 more times to be her friend and she still said NO. Hey Brynn is definitely persistent and I bet by the end of the year, that little girl will say YES and THEN they will be friends. Too funny! Aren't kindergartners great!
I really can't believe Brynnley is old enough to go to Elementary School. On one hand it seems like she is still my little girl and on the other hand it seems like she is growing up so fast. Where did the last 5 and 1/2 years go?
Zoey, Brynnley, Landon, and Seth are all in the same Kindergarten class. This makes it really nice for carpooling and Brynnley loves to have neighborhood friends in her class. I just hope these friends aren't too crazy in class.

Yea for Brynn--the big Kindergartener! Can you have her teach Logan how to ask people to be his friend? The first week of school, he said that he was too shy and didn't have any friends to play with at recess. I asked him what he did to play, and he told me, "I just wandered around and played by myself." Sad. Today he informed me that he has made 3 new friends. It only took him a coupld weeks. : )

ps Where's the broken leg pic?

So funny how kids ask each other to be their friends! The drama of growing up.
